San Marco in Lamis: excursion to the forest of Fajarama

Description
The trail is located in the Bosco della Difesa, in San Marco in Lamis, the South western part of Gargano. It is a beautiful wood mesophile with a wide variety of tree species, fungi and ferns. As throughout the western sector of the Gargano, even in these woods are clear Karst surface both profound manifestations: sinkholes, caves, wells, furrowed fields, ect.

The path is to ring and begins near the convent of San Matteo, not far from the fraction of Borgo Celano – San Marco in Lamis.
